Happy summer solstice to those of you in the northern hemisphere. This picture was taken just before midnight on June 20th. The solstice actually occurred around 4pm today, earlier than it has in over 60 years. Still lots of sunshine here, about 22 hours today. Hard to believe that the days will be getting shorter, feels like summer has barely said hello and finally sat down for a glass of iced tea. For those of you who do not care for the crazy amounts of fur being spewed out by your pets, it will now begin its decline (for awhile). Dogs started howling about 1.5 seconds after midnight. Kind of kooky, how do they know??
