New pup!
Clint was born in Alberta and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada. He began mushing in 1997, working with Doug Swingley's puppy team in the fall of 2000. He ran his first Iditarod in 2001. In the fall of 2001, Clint then started working with veterinarian Dr. Sonny King and the Veterinary Educational Team to help train Sonny's team for the 2002 Iditarod. Clint went on to run the 2003 Iditarod and won the Most Improved Musher Award. In the summer of 2004, he moved to Alaska to experience Alaska and train dogs. For two years he trained dogs for Sonny Lindner, a long-time musher in Two Rivers, AK. He has kept his own small team of dogs going throughout the years and has been building his own kennel more seriously for the past two years. Last year, Clint ran his own young dog team to an Iditarod finish and is continuing to work with the Veterinary Educational Team, which teaches children in the southern part of the U.S. about northern breed sled dogs and the Iditarod. Outside of dogs, Clint enjoys hunting, fishing and running.
